“I had always imagined my life would change in the most beautiful way when I became a mother. I dreamed of holding my babies close, hearing their laughter, and watching them grow into happy, healthy children. But my world turned upside down when my twin boys were born far too early.
Both my babies were born too soon, struggling to survive from the moment they came into this world. My first baby, born on December 20, 2024, weighed just 930 grams. He was so tiny and fragile, diagnosed with Low Birth Weight and Respiratory Distress Syndrome. He needs ventilator support for at least two months to even have a chance at survival. The cost of his treatment is ₹6,00,000—an amount we cannot imagine affording.
My second baby, born on December 20, 2024, weighs 1260 grams. He, too, faces the same battle—Low Birth Weight and Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Like his brother, he needs ventilator support for two months, with treatment costs amounting to ₹6,00,000.
Shashikant works as a helper, earning only ₹10,000–₹15,000 a month. No matter how much we try, we cannot save our babies alone. I see them fighting so hard to stay alive, and as their mother, I cannot give up on them.
I am begging for your help to save my twins. They deserve a chance to live, to grow, and to experience the love that surrounds them. Your kindness can give them that chance. Please, help us bring our babies home..”
With folded hands and a heart full of hope,
Shamita Parulekar, mother of a month old premature twins
