Groceries were handed over to camp cordinator. Our local Volunteers were involved in rescuing efforts as well. Rain and mud made operations difficult, but gumboots were secured for safety. Volunteers worked tirelessly, showing incredible resilience amid the harsh conditions. Their dedication, including Shamlal, Abhijeet, Naushad, and Vipin Mohan, was inspiring. Together, they were a vital lifeline for those trapped in the debris. We remain grateful for our volunteers’ commitment and encourage ongoing support. This team’s efforts have had a profound impact on the affected community. Our mission continues, thanks to the generosity and compassion of our supporters. We need constant support to provide the necessary items in the relief camps. We are in cordination with the camp cordinator who are providing us with the list. Please checkout the video (Malayalam) -

- Update Aug 1, 2024
Upon reaching the relief camp - St. Joseph UP School, Meppadi in Wayanad, we were struck by the overwhelming sadness. People were rushing to help, some carrying their loved ones’ bodies. Over 300 people were missing, with families torn apart by the tragedy. Our team quickly got to work, aiding in rescue efforts and providing care and medicine. A list of essential grocery items was compiled after meeting the camp cordinator. With the constant support that we were receiving from our donors, Alex Daniel and volunteers sought out these supplies locally as to help the shop owners earn a livelihood in the disaster struct region. We appeal to donors for help to provide necessary resources. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference in these families’ lives.
