With each passing day it is riskier for the survival of the newborn baby since the baby was born with Anorectal Malformation with Recto Vaginal Fistula. Because of this condition the patient doesn’t have a rectum passage through which they can poop or pass the stool.
Anorectal malformations are birth defects, or problems that happen as an unborn baby is developing during pregnancy. With this defect, the anus and rectum don’t develop properly. They are the lower part of the digestive tract.
A rectovaginal fistula is a connection that should not exist between the lower part of the large intestine — the rectum or anus — and the vagina. Bowel contents can leak through the fistula, allowing gas or stool to pass through the vagina.

“What did I do wrong during my pregnancy that my baby has to suffer the pain. I just wanted my baby to be healthy but When I see her condition my heart aches. My baby’s body waste came out of her private part and we did everything to change her condition. The doctor’s had suggested that the baby’s surgery needs to be done in 3 stages along with NICU care. The first stage is done due to which a hole was created in her abdomen so that stool can pass through that. However, the infection started after the first surgery and we had to admit our baby again in the hospital. We have exhausted all our savings for the first surgery.     Baby of Vaishali (female baby) is born on the 9th month of pregnancy and the baby’s current weight is approximately 2100 gms. The baby was born with Anorectal Malformation with Recto Vaginal Fistula. Because of this condition the patient doesn’t have a rectum passage through which they can poop or pass the stool instead of that they can pass the stool through her urine area. The baby doesn’t pass the stool for 14 to 15 days and that causes severe constipation with pain which also increases toxicity in the body, later on it will affect the kidney of the baby. Inorder to save the life of the baby the doctor’s have suggested a three stage surgery plan in which the entire anus would be developed whilst fixing the vaginal fistula as well. The baby has been in the hospital NICU for the past 1 month and would need an additional 1 month hospital stay in total. The total estimated expenditure would be around INR. 3,33,000 (INR. Three Lac Thirty Three Thousand Only) which is more than which the family can afford.
