“I never thought I would have to write this, but today, I am pleading for help pleading for the life of my little Iqra Sardarun, my two-month-old daughter who is fighting every second to stay alive.
She was born a fighter. From the moment she came into this world, her tiny body has battled against ventricular communicating hydrocephalus and the complications that followed. On January 29, Iqra’s condition worsened—she refused to feed herself, became lethargic, and struggled to breathe. We rushed her to the hospital, where doctors had to put her on a ventilator in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Since then, she has undergone multiple surgeries, including a bilateral VP shunt for ventriculitis, but she still needs prolonged ICU care and a tracheostomy.
Every passing day in the hospital brings unbearable pain—not just for my little girl but for us as parents, helplessly watching her struggle. The doctors say she can survive with continued treatment, but the cost is beyond our reach. The total estimated expense is ₹5-6 lakhs, and we have already spent every last penny that we could manage.
My husband, a lorry driver, and I, a homemaker, have no savings left. We lost a son before, and I cannot bear the thought of losing Iqra too. We have a 2-year-old daughter who barely understands why her mother is always in tears. Our only support comes from my brother and sister-in-law, who are doing everything they can to help, but it is not enough.
I am begging you—please help me save my daughter. Every contribution, big or small, brings her closer to the treatment she desperately needs. Your kindness could be the reason she gets to live. Please don’t let her fight this battle alone.”
With folded hands and a heart full of hope,
Sardarun, mother of baby Iqra
