Yes, you are eligible to get upto 50% Income Tax Exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961. Donations to Pledge Foundation i.e. Pratijnya Foundation qualify for deduction u/s 80G(5) of Income Tax Act 1961. There are other benefits apart from Tax exemption, we do give media shoutouts to our donors.
Certainly! We do share PDF of the 80G certificate instantly to your email. However, you have to claim it once you have made a donation. And this receipt is valid for residents of India only. Our PAN Number is AALCP8268M. Please note: once you have claimed the tax benefits you are not eligible to get a refund.
About Pledge Foundation’s refund policy - pledgefoundation.org/refund-policy/ Pledge Foundation takes the utmost care to process donations as per the instructions given by our donors, online and offline. However, in case of an unlikely event of an erroneous donation or if the donor would like to cancel his donation, Pledge Foundation will respond to the donor within 7 working days of receiving a valid request for refund from the donor. The timely refund of the donation will depend upon the type of credit card/banking instrument used during the transaction. The donor will have to send Pledge Foundation a written request for a refund within 2 days of making the donation to Pledge Foundation’s official address or email indiandonors@pledgefoundation.org along with- 1. Proof of the deduction of the donation amount.2. In cases where the donation receipt has already been issued to the donor, the donor will have to return the original receipt to us at our office addresses.3. If the tax exemption certificate is already claimed by the donor with the provided link after donation success, then we won’t be able to refund the donation. However, in case of a valid refund request due to any error on Pledge Foundation’s part, Pledge Foundation will refund the donation and bear the costs of the same.
